Portadown Young Ambassadors Battlefield Tour

The Young Ambassadors will be going out to Ypres Salient and the Somme at the end of October. There, the young people will represent Portadown and become Tour Guides telling the stories of local men buried and memorialised there.

The Ambassadors are working hard behind the scenes in preparation of their journey. They are currently doing research on individuals and memorials that they will include on their tour.

Thanks to funding from the Arnold Clark Community Fund we where able to purchase laptops for the Ambassadors. This will help them in completing their research and comprising all their tour information together. The laptops will also be a useful resource for their education.
